Summer, that time of year where you dream of sandy beaches and your makeup sweats off your face. Okay, so it’s not exactly a win-win season. But, there are ways to make this summer as comfortable as possible (unless you like feeling sticky and having mascara panda eyes).
Don’t leave your house without this! You better listen to me, are we clear? **you’re not listening to me, are you?** Even if the sun is hiding behind the clouds, put sunscreen on because the UV rays are still floating around just waiting to damage your skin. Oh, and make sure to moisturise afterwards.
Evian water spray
When it is 40 degrees and you’re sweating your balls off, this is your saviour. That refreshing mist of water feels like your sitting by a fountain enjoying a soft breeze. Plus, it’s Evian water so you feel extra fancy.
Hair Masks/ Oils / Leave-in Conditioners
Sea water and the sun can seriously dry out your hair and hair masks or oils are essential to restore some life back into those dry ends. I live for Aussie 3-minute miracle as it is quick and easy and leaves your hair feeling soft and healthy.
Sometimes you just don’t want to wear a full-face of makeup and that’s okay. Why put in all that effort if it’s going to melt off your face in about an hour or so. That’s why concealers are handy. They cover up any glaring imperfections and even out your skin tone without having to go all out.
No explanation necessary, right? Whether it’s hot outside or you have oily eyelids, waterproof mascara is a must. Even though taking it off is an absolute pain in the ass.
Liquid lipsticks, in general, are life! Put it on and you’re good to go for hours. No smudging, no getting it on your teeth or chin or even the tip of your nose. You can even swim with it and it should stay put **still haven’t tested this theory yet**
I felt it was appropriate to pop this in here because hair ties are an essential regardless of the time of year. And for some reason, when you are in dire need of a hair tie, it magically disappears. So always keep one in your bag or on your wrist… OR better yet in your wallet.
Stay hydrated, keep a water bottle with you at all times. I’m not the best at guzzling water but when I do I can immediately feel a difference. Water is life… the Earth needs it, plants need it, YOU need it.
